Shenzhen is also home to Shuibei, one of China’s most important jewelry centers. Within this concentrated ecosystem, material suppliers, manufacturers, craftspeople, designers, and merchants work together at a scale and speed that few places can match.

This mature supply chain gives us access to skilled production and a deep understanding of how jewelry moves from an initial idea to a finished object. But access alone is not enough. What matters is how we choose, judge, and use it.
